The first major add on to Operation-B has been launched today. It is now possible to hire Heroes to accompany the rest of your squad. Heroes have the ability to level up and therefore increase their attacking and defending powers.
The three heroes that have been added are:

Each hero differs in attacking and defending powers, in cost, maximum level etc. Check the introduction page for more details.

Besides the Heroes add on there are more updates planned.
Units meet Web 2.0

Nowadays everybody has his own profile on the internet. To introduce themselves, the units also started a profile space.
The profiles will be posted on the homepage one by one. The first one will be about Bas Bladen. The others will put their profiles online soon and perhaps add more information in the future.

Point-Click User Interface & Strategy Update

The ingame user interface has been redesigned. It has become a 'point and click user interface'. It is possible to click on your own field, select the units and move or attack by clicking on another field.

The strategic aspect of the game has been increased. At first it was possible to use all the game actions (hire, move & attack). Now you can use only one of these three each turn.

Both updates should give the game more depth and it should be easier to interact with it.

Chat Function

Since the last news message there have been several small updates. These are all mentioned here.

It is now time for another big update. It was already possible to chat with your opponent. Now there's a global chat function available where you can chat with all the online players.
The function is accessible in the lobby where you can start and join games, but also ingame where the ingame chat function is.

I will try to be online as much as possible and use the chat function to be there if you need help or anything else.

AI opponent

It is now possible to play against an AI opponent. Even though it isn't the most advanced AI, you can still use it to get familiar with the game, for some training or just for the fun of it.
The games against the AI opponent will not be recorded in the global ranking. No games will be officially won or lost and no OPP can be gained.
With the new option there's also a new Operation Assignment available. Win a game against the AI opponent can now be completed.
